Our art-blog features artwork created by art students grades nine through twelve at Colorado High School. At CHS we offer six different art classes: students can take Art I – IV, Digital Photography and Electronic Media. The talented students in our program produce a broad and vibrant array of artworks ranging from drawings and paintings to sculptures, prints, photographs, graphic design and electronic media advertisement design.

Each course has its own page, so feel free to visit each of them and to check back often as new projects and pictures are posted regularly.

Meet the Teacher

My name is Christie Andrews and I am the art teacher at Colorado High School.  Art has always been a passion of mine.  I inherited a love for its creation from my grandmother; spending summers in her studio with her as she taught me how to draw and watercolor are among my earliest memories.  I feel incredibly blessed to be able to do teach and create artwork each day – two things I love to do!

I attended Abilene Christian University, where I studied graphic design and graduated with my Bachelors degree in Fine Arts in May of 2008.  While working as a graphic designer, I went back to school to pursue my teaching certification.  I met my husband, Koby while we were both undergraduates at ACU – we have now been happily married since July the 10th of 2010.  In July of 2011, our family increased by one: our son, Knox Thomas.

Enough about me – go look at the amazing work of my students!
