In Photography we’ve been experimenting with lights and shadows while shooting in manual.  We had fun using an old projector and any interesting props we could find to create shadow+human interactive scenes.  Here are some pre-Photoshop edited shots.

In our Electronic Media/Photography classes we’ve been applying our Photoshop skills using

  • Custom brushes
  • Layer masks
  • Copying and pasting
  • Color selection
  • Merging layers

to create unique pictures with words.  Next project: moving from celebrities to self portraits!  Awesome job Lauran (Jessica), Damian (David), Emily (Cillian) and Jamie (Will)!

We learned about Commercial Photography in Digital Photography and then put our new knowledge to work – the students took their own pictures and then used them to create realistic magazine layouts after analyzing the designs of many different covers.

our Digital Photography class created their own surreal montages with photographs they’d taken of animals, humans, architecture and nature.  Here are some successful examples.
